Homemade Pita Chips
A great chip for dipping in hummus or tzatziki or topping for salads. Ingredients with an asterisk (*) are available seasonally right here in North Iowa! Click on select ingredients to find them nearby or stop by your local farmer’s market.
Equipment
- Oven
- Baking Sheet
- Tupperware
- Cutting board
- Chef's Knife
Ingredients
- 2 pita bread
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp herbs* of choice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400. Slice the pita into 6 triangles each. Place in a Tupperware or large bowl.
- Toss with oil, salt, pepper, and chopped herbs.
- Lay the pita chips onto a baking sheet, taking care not to crowd them
- Bake for 12 - 15 minutes. Cool and enjoy!
