Join Healthy Harvest of North Iowa for an engaging one-hour program designed for small food processors and aspiring entrepreneurs. Iowa State University Extension experts will present essential information to help you create or expand your food processing business, including:

  1. Starting a Small Food Processing Business: Learn about Iowa’s cottage/home-based food law and how it supports building businesses from your home or farm.
  2. Food Labeling Essentials: Discover what must be included on your food label to comply with Iowa law when selling processed foods to the public.

Bonus Opportunity:
From 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM, Penny Huber Brown, Iowa Food Business Specialist, will offer 15-minute individual consulting sessions to help small food processors build their businesses.
