  • Cook bacon in large skillet with a couple tablespoons of water until crispy. Remove to a paper or tea towel to cool and then chop into bite-sized pieces.
  • Using the same skillet with the bacon fat, melt the butter over high heat and add the onions and brussels sprouts. Cook, stirring occasionally, and adding water as necessary, until sprouts are golden brown, 8 to 10 mins.
  • Season with salt and pepper, lemon juice, and gently toss bacon back in and serve. Grate some parmesan on top if desired.
