At John Adams Middle School, we recently received a heartfelt thank you card that truly uplifted our spirits. The students’ exemplary behavior and enthusiastic participation during our visit were commendable, making the day a memorable one for everyone involved.
One student, in particular, left a significant impression on us. A young lady with autism, typically reserved during class, took a brave step forward. She eagerly volunteered to measure ingredients and operate the blender bike, a task that required both precision and courage. After class, she confided that she usually feels very uncomfortable trying new things. However, the supportive environment encouraged her to step out of her comfort zone and try something new.
Her experience underscores the importance of our mission. It is moments like these that highlight the positive impact of our efforts, reminding us why we do what we do. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students and to witness their growth and courage firsthand.
