Equipment

  • Small Saucepan

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup old fashioned oats or gluten free oats
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1 cup berries* of choice, fresh or frozen
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp honey* or maple syrup*
  • salt
  • nuts banana, yogurt, chia seeds, almond butter, etc (optional for topping)

Instructions
 

  • Over medium high heat in a medium pot, add oats, milk, berries, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup or honey.
  • When it starts to bubble, crush the berries with a large wooden spoon. Lower heat to medium-low and cook for 3 minutes or until oats are tender.
  • Add toppings of your choice and enjoy.
