Chocolate Covered Strawberry Smoothie Bowl

This smoothie bowl is filling enough to be breakfast, and delicious enough to be dessert! Make it your own by topping it with whatever your heart desires! Local berries, chocolate, honey, bananas...the options are limitless. Ingredients with an asterisk (*) are available seasonally right here in North Iowa! Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp almond butter or nut butter of choice
  • 1 tbsp honey* or maple syrup
  • ¾ cup milk of choice
  • 1 cup strawberries* frozen
  • 1 tsp chia seeds optional
  • 1 tsp hemp hearts optional

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until completely smooth.
  • Pour into a bowl, and top with toppings of choice! Try fresh berries, honey, almond butter, coconut flakes, chia seeds, hemp hearts, bananas, chocolate chips...or whatever your heart desires!
