Cooking Up Culture

Twenty lucky foodies will enjoy learning about a traditional South Korean dish called “Japachae” on Tuesday, July 16, beginning at 6 pm on the Nature Education Pavilion patio. Chef Kyong Ae Smith noted that , “This speciality, translated as “glass noodles” is a traditional and popular Korean dish that has its origins as a dynasty royal kingdom dish It’s made from noodles, fresh vegetables and a slightly sweet and savory sauce.”

This is the first of a three-part collaboration between Central Gardens and Healthy Harvest, both of which are dedicated to educating the public about healthy eating using garden produce.
