Join us for a summer Field Day at Koenigs’ Acres Farm!

📅 Date: Saturday, July 27
🕒 Time: 11 am – 12 pm and 1 pm – 2 pm
📍 Location: 1510 110th St, Hampton, IA

Karen and Matt Koenig have been transforming their acreage into a sustainable farmstead for 32 years. With minimal chemical use, expanded pasture land, solar power, and geothermal heating, they’ve created a haven for wildlife and sustainable living. They also collaborate with neighbors to rent pasture space and provide hive space for local honey production.

Learn about:

• Sustainable farming practices
• Raising vegetables, fruits, and chickens
• Pollination and honey production from local bees

Field Day Activities:

• Two guided tours at 11 am and 1 pm
• Stroll around the farmstead and enjoy refreshments
• Ask questions about homesteading practices
• Purchase fresh produce, eggs, and honey from the Farmstand
• Fun children’s activity

🍴 Visitors are encouraged to enjoy lunch at Godfuel in Hampton, where local ingredients from Koenigs’ Acres are featured on the menu.
