Tour of the Honey & Ewe farm owned by the Elsbernd family in Mason City. Visit their animals, including bees, sheep and chickens; the high tunnel, where they garden; and the pollinator garden, where they feed their bees. We’ll spend a majority of the time exploring their honey bees, including an explanation, and hopeful demonstration, of the process for extracting the honey supers. We hope you will BEE there!

Steve’s Sweet Corn

Over 20 years ago, Steve Rachut started his sweet corn business as a youth project to keep him busy. Steve, along with his wife Beth, now raise approximately 11 acres of sweet corn each year. Their season runs mid-July through mid-September when they run a roadside stand six days a week and sell at local farmers markets. Join us for a tour of their farm and learn more about what goes into bringing you beloved Iowa sweet corn!
