Cancelled – Soap Making with Laura from Mossy Cup Farms

In this hands on workshop we’ll explore the many aspects of all natural soap making from ingredients and formulation to cutting and storage and everything in between.

Participants will learn how ingredients change the characteristics of soap, perform calculations, weigh and blend ingredients, cut soap into bars, grate laundry soap and customize their own soap by choosing essential oils and herbal add ins.

Each participant will take home their own custom batch of 6 bars of hair & body soap in a reusable silicone mold, grated laundry soap and all of the information needed to make a batch of soap on your own.

We’ll be working with all natural ingredients including lard, organic castor oil, lye, essential oils, flowers and herbs. Participants should bring a 9×13 cake pan or box to transport their freshly made soap in and wear long pants, long sleeves and close toed shoes
