Farmers' Market Fresh Salsa
A spin on our basic salsa recipe, this Farmers' Market Fresh version adds seasonal sweet corn and some optional seasoning. So fresh and tasty! Ingredients with an asterisk (*) are available seasonally right here in North Iowa! Click on select ingredients to find them nearby or stop by your local farmer's market.

Ingredients
- 3 tomatoes* diced
- 4 bell peppers* multi-colored, chopped and seeded
- 3 ears sweet corn* raw, cut off cob
- 2 onion* chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp cilantro* chopped
- 1 tbsp jalapeño* chopped (optional)
- 3 cloves garlic* minced (optional)
- 1 tsp honey* (optional)
- 1 tbsp cumin (optional)
Instructions
- Try to use the freshest ingredients possible. Combine all ingredients in large bowl. You may lightly chop ingredients together in a food processor, blender, or just using a knife.
- Due to variations in sweetness of tomatoes, corn, onions, and peppers, seasonings may need to be adjusted to taste.
- If you don’t like something, leave it out !!! If there’s something else you do like, put it in! Feel free to experiment and HAVE FUN!
