Garlic Parmesan Pasta
Butter and garlic - does it get any better? A comfort food featuring fresh egg pasta and local garlic is sure to hit the spot any time of the year. Ingredients with an asterisk (*) are available seasonally right here in North Iowa! Click on select ingredients to find them nearby or stop by your local farmer's market.

Ingredients
- 1 batch Duck egg pasta* or pasta of choice
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic* minced
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes optional
- ½ cup parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp parsley*
- salt + pepper
Instructions
- Cook noodles until al dente
- In a medium saucepan, combine butter, garlic and red pepper flakes over medium heat until butter has melted. Whisk constantly until foam subsides and the butter begins to turn golden brown (4-5 minutes) and skim foam as necessary.
- Remove from heat and stir in the pasta and parmesan until well combined, about 2 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste before serving.
