Grandma's Frozen Corn
Enjoy peak summertime sweet corn all year long with this freezer corn recipe shared by Ashely Coleman, from her Great Grandma Marjorie Janes. Ingredients
- 9 cups sweet corn*
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 cups water
- ¾ cup sugar
Instructions
- Cut corn from cob.Video Player00:0000:00
- Add corn, water, salt, and sugar to a large stockpot.
- Cook until a rolling boil.
- Pour into cake pan and let cool completely.
- Box or bag and freeze.

A note from Ashley: Making Great Grandma Marjorie Janes’ corn recipe today—freezing the remaining local sweet corn . This is an annual tradition that I have participated in for decades. From harvesting and shucking as a kid to cutting and cooking as an adult. We subbed in coconut sugar for white sugar and seasoned salt for salt.
