Pumpkin Pie Hummus
A sweet hummus to welcome the Fall. Ingredients with an asterisk (*) are available seasonally right here in North Iowa! Click on select ingredients to find them nearby or stop by your local farmer’s market.
Equipment
- Blender or Food Processor
Ingredients
- 15 oz can of chickpeas drained and rinsed
- ¼ cup maple syrup*
- 1½ cups pumpkin purée
- 3 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- sea salt
Instructions
- Place all ingredients, chickpeas through sea salt, in the bowl of a food processor or blender. Blend until completely smooth. This may take a few minutes depending on your processor or blender.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and enjoy with sliced apples or graham crackers. Sprinkle additional pie spice or cinnamon on top.
