Ingredients
1lbbeef*or lamb or bison, ground
1onion*chopped
1green pepper*chopped
2clovesgarlic*or more if desired
1candiced tomatoes
1candark red kidney beansor chili beans
1 8 oztomato sauce
2-3tspchili powderor to taste
1tspdried basil
salt + pepperto taste
Instructions
Cook ground meat, onion, green pepper and garlic until meat is brown. Stir in undrained tomatoes, beans, tomato sauce, chili powder, basil, salt and pepper. Bring to boil then reduce to simmer. Simmer for at least 20 minutes. Serve hot!
We enjoy eating chili with buttered flour tortillas. Corn chips are also good!
